For analyst Mentor Nazarko, the split of the Democratic Party favors Prime Minister Edi Rama and the majority.
In the show "Real Story" on ABC News, Nazarko addressed the deputy of the Democratic Party, Arbi Agalliu, saying that what is happening to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, now under house arrest, is not helping him to increase votes.
Meanwhile, Agalliu replied that this is only a perception and that there is another reality. According to him, the Democratic Party should raise the hope of the Albanians.
Mentor Nazarko: For truth's sake, this divisiveness of yours favors Rama. But it is strange how what is happening to Berisha is not in your favor. This is the biggest question mark. He is under house arrest, he is limited in the development of his functions, in a way, his public credibility has fallen, the accusations coming from the USA, SPAK, we see that the electorate does not respond to the calls to protest. You are not even increasing quotas outside the democratic barn, nor even among those that were Berisha's votes.
Arbi Agalliu: This is perception. Let me tell you another reality. The Democratic Party will have to find that element that inspires hope at the end of the day, hope is inspired by standing and fighting for some principles that we have had this period. The Democratic Party today is many times better than it was when Mr. Basha left on March 6. With a good team, with a clean past, with meritocracy, I firmly believe that those Albanians who did not vote, will wake up to return.
