Violation of equality in tenders is one of the most investigated crimes by SPAK, and yet, if someone decides to repent and confess who ordered it, they do not receive the status of a repentant person.
This is because, by repealing a paragraph in the Criminal Code for collaborators of justice, the proposed amendments limit the right to cooperate with authorities for a category of offenses. Currently, repentants confess to the most serious crimes, starting with criminal organizations, terrorists, gangs and related crimes.
But a series of other offenses that do not carry a penalty margin higher than 7 years of imprisonment are excluded from the agreement to repent, which means that among them is the violation of equality in tenders.
Currently, there are 13 repentants who are being held where 41-bissi was. As TCH sources indicate, two others in the field of narcotics trafficking are still under trial.
International standards are used as a reference in this regard.
To date, justice has not convicted any official in the field of corruption, but only for organized crime and murder./ TCH
