Former Prime Minister of Albania, Fatos Nanos, has been in the spotlight in recent days due to his health, as he is in hospital in serious condition.
Arta Dade, who was very close to Nano when he was in the SP, spoke about this event, respecting the family's privacy.
It also goes back to the time of the founding of the Socialist Party and how Nano was the impetus for it to become part of it, because of his vision.
Arta Dade: I have asked friends who are close to him, but also respecting what the family has requested. I believe that Fatos was one of the instigators or pushers that when the SP was founded and Fatos was elected chairman, I was not a member at all and I was at the Congress with an invitation, I was a lecturer, and the students were even waiting for the exam because it was June, I told Ermelinda before he was elected because at the time he was a young man with liberal tendencies, of course with a social-democratic background, but also intellectually formed, with foreign languages, he saw life differently, he had also participated in the program that was drafted for the founding of the SP and it was known that he could do the best for Albania and it was like a kind of encouragement.
Nano's name has also been floated as a possible presidential candidate, despite the fact that he never took the position. Arta Dade believes that this position is lacking in his achievements.
Arta Dade: I believe so, but events unfolded after Fatos left and it is a pity that he left politics at the age of 53 because he could have given Albanian politics, the Socialist Party went into opposition and the leader was changed, then Fatos was no longer engaged and apparently, perhaps he hoped that the majority and the leader of that time could do something. Fatos could have been a very good president for Albania .
Returning to Nano's health condition, the former MP wished the best for him and his family.
Arta Dade: We wish him good health now, he has had health problems for a while. I wish him well and all the best to his family.
