The State Police has called on citizens to be careful of fraudulent messages sent to their phones via e-mail, SMS or social networks.
The notice states that you should not click on links that imitate the official website of the Albanian Post.
" Never provide personal information, card numbers, PINs or passwords on sites that are not official," the police urge .

The Cybercrime Investigation Directorate of the State Police informs citizens that recently, fake messages and links have been circulating, imitating the official website of the Albanian Post and requesting users' personal and banking details.
This is a cyber fraud attempt (phishing), which aims to obtain unauthorized personal data, bank card numbers or access codes to online accounts.
The Cybercrime Investigation Directorate appeals for increased caution:
• Do not click on suspicious links sent via e-mail, SMS or social networks;
• Never provide personal information, card numbers, PINs or passwords on sites that are not official;
• Always check the correct website address before performing any online action;
• In case of suspicion, report immediately to the State Police or the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate.
"The State Police remains committed to protecting citizens from illegal activities in the digital space and to increasing public awareness of cybersecurity ," the state police announced.
