The serious incident in Maliq, the Ministry of Health reacts: The 6-year-old

The Ministry of Health has reacted regarding the condition of the 6-year-old girl from Korça, who survived after her house was engulfed in fire.

According to the Ministry, it is reported that the minor girl is currently in critical condition. Meanwhile, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Evis Sala, has also visited the QSUT.

The 6-year-old is receiving treatment from pediatricians, resuscitators and burn-plastic specialists. The reaction also states that the Ministry of Health expresses its condolences for the loss of family members (mother and brother) and is in communication with the QSUT regarding the minor's health condition.

"In the evening hours, the 6-year-old girl, NA, injured in today's serious incident in the Korça district, arrived at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center for medical treatment.

The patient was received in the emergency room of the Burn-Plastic Service by the medical team, who was in constant communication with the doctors who accompanied her during the transport from Korça to Tirana.

After assessing her health condition, the minor, currently in critical condition, was immediately hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Service at the QSUT, where she is being treated by pediatricians, resuscitators, and burn-plastic specialists, according to all medical protocols in force.

A few minutes after the 6-year-old's arrival, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Evis Sala, arrived at the QSUNT, accompanied by the general director of QSUNT, Anxhela Paparizo, and they are closely monitoring her condition, in constant communication with the joint medical team of the Burn-Plastic Service and the Pediatric Intensive Therapy Service at QSUNT.

"The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs expresses its condolences for the loss of the family members and is in constant communication with the QSUT, minute by minute, regarding the minor's health condition," the Ministry's response states.
