Berisha's "non grata", Bejko: The US purged Albania's

Analyst Roland Bejko, discussing the role of the US in political developments in Albania and its impact on democracy, emphasized that America has played an important role, supporting the country even in difficult periods, such as that of isolation under Enver Hoxha.

According to him, in the absence of US supervision, Albanian leaders could turn into “bandits.” Bejko also commented on the impact of Berisha’s “Non-Women” and stressed that, despite efforts to cleanse the political class, the DP and Berisha, according to him, will no longer have a key role in political decision-making.

" For political parties and for democracy in particular, the role of the US has been very important. Even when Enver Hoxha isolated Albania, America was there, even though we didn't know it. If you leave the leaders without the tutelage of the US, you will see them behave like bandits. Now we are in the hands of Rama, who has all the powers and no longer needs the US.

We are left in the hands of an individual. It seemed as if the American intervention would cleanse the Albanian political class, and I mean Berisha's "Non-Women". Their withdrawal is not going to make them stronger, but their agony will last. One was justice, which seemed to us to be taking the form of an independent power. Berisha is no longer a political factor and a political phenomenon. The Democratic Party and Berisha may be in parliament and have a third word, but they will not be taken into account, "said analyst Roland Bejko on the "Real Story" show on ABC News.
