After several hours of protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, citizens who have been demanding the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama for 16 days have continued their march through the streets of the capital.
The column of protesters headed towards the former Blloku area, where participants conveyed messages against the government and called on other citizens to join the protest.
During the march, protesters addressed people sitting in bars in the area, inviting them to leave their coffee shops and join the rally. “Get up from the coffee shops, join us,” was one of the calls heard as they passed through the former Bllok.
Amidst the cheers and banners, there was no shortage of calls for the prime minister. "Rama is finished" and "Rama resigns" were some of the most heard slogans during the march.
The protest continued peacefully, while organizers have warned that civic mobilization will continue in the coming days.
