One of the most discussed theories in Albanian politics is that of a silent collaboration between two historical leaders, Edi Rama and Sali Berisha.
Speaking on the show "Të Pashoj" on the 'Pamflet' YouTube channel, analyst Aleksandër Çipa reinforced this idea, arguing that 'opposites converge' and that the existence of one justifies and strengthens the existence of the other.
According to him, the Albanian political reality is usurped by this bipolarity, where the two leaders, although seemingly opponents, essentially feed each other and keep alive a system from which both benefit. Çipa emphasized that this dynamic creates an environment where real change is hindered and politics remains a closed game between two dominant figures.
Excerpt from the interview:
- There are many who say that for many reasons Edi Rama and Sali Berisha underground collaborate with each other, in common interest beyond what appears on the scene with the lights of politics. Do you believe this? Let's remember that recently there has been talk about the so-called senate for example. There are those conspiracy theories, maybe they are not such, but I am describing them because it is too early, I am describing them as such, that for example Edi Rama will be president, Sali Berisha senator and that's it...
Çipa : Yes, in politics, in the most traditional view, long-term planning is done in accordance with opposites that come together. And we want to believe this. This is a maxim of dialectics, but in the concrete case, in the Albanian reality we read many signs and nomas, which let us understand that these exist in a way of their compatibility as opposites. Which means that there is one long-lived, because there is another just as long-lived, but with a different direction that is within its own party family or flock. This is the reason why there is so much dissatisfaction. And the Albanian public is an intelligent public, despite not having the protagonism to intervene and disrupt or ruin these schemes that both give politicians a taste for transition, but at the same time also create the conviction of usurpation. We are in a usurped circumstance and reality.
