Footage of the protest organized in front of the SPAK building following the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj has disappeared.
This was stated by journalist Poli Hoxha, according to whom the protest in front of SPAK was organized by Prime Minister Rama himself. The journalist emphasizes that after this protest the head of government received an ultimatum from the US and the EU.
" After the arrest of Erion Veliaj, Edi Rama went off the rails, let himself go, made very strong statements against SPAK and the prosecutors. He organized an anti-SPAK rally with the municipality employees and the video of that rally automatically disappeared and I am sure of this with an ultimatum from the internationals and especially from the EU and the US for that step he took, he changed, fell into calmness and seemed like he was no longer defending Veliaj ," he said on A2 CNN.
Hoxha brings to attention that Veliaj sent warning messages to the prime minister through the banned TikTok platform.
" For his part, Veliaj's only message of harassment was on TikTok, banned by the prime minister. When it came to discussing that this could no longer continue with the municipality, he released a message that; if I speak to you, you will become "breaking news" and this was the warning or blackmail, the threat he made before the decision was made about this, but he also removed this the next day ."
