Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço has made a strong statement in an interview with "Euronews Albania", warning that a member of the Albanian Parliament could soon face security measures from the Special Prosecution Office.
According to him, SPAK has a key piece of evidence; a notebook with detailed notes, showing how corruption money was divided between the people involved. " I know that recently there is an investigation underway and there may be concrete measures against a member of the Albanian Parliament. In this notebook, notes were noticed where this member of parliament has put other people who keep notes on how corruption money frozen in some of the apartments in the outskirts of Tirana will be divided. An honorable lady has taken the notebook to SPAK. Investigations have begun and it is expected that there will be concrete measures against this member of parliament very soon ," said Karamuço. The notebook was submitted by a woman.
The expert did not provide details on the MP's name or his political affiliation, but stressed that the amounts mentioned are large and are related to money hidden in several apartments around Tirana. This statement has raised expectations and tension in public opinion, once again putting SPAK in the spotlight for investigations affecting the political dome.
