The Tirana police have seized assets worth about 300,000 euros, which are suspected to be the source of criminal activity in the field of narcotics, during the operation coded "Start".
In the framework of the criminal proceedings for the identification and seizure of assets derived from criminal activities, referred by the Money Laundering Investigation Section of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, the execution was carried out of the Court's decision, for the imposition of preventive sequestration against assets on behalf of the citizen Gjino (Skhëlqim), Lleshaj, 42 years old, and his family members.
Pursuant to this decision, a vehicle, a garage and a commercial unit in the Headquarters were seized, the value of which is around 300,000 euros.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the confiscated assets have their source from the criminal activities carried out by the citizen Gj. (Sh.), Ll., whom the Italian authorities have sentenced to imprisonment, for trafficking in large quantities of narcotics, carried out in collaboration.
