The house is located in Guadalmina Baja, a beachfront neighborhood located on the border between Marbella and Estepona, on the Costa del Sol.
This residence is listed by the US Treasury Department as the primary Spanish address of Daniel Kinahan, the son of suspected drug kingpin Christy Kinahan.
It is just one of 6 Costa del Sol properties owned by Christy, Daniel and his second son Christy Jr, according to documents.
Christy Kinahan Sr, known as the 'Dapper Don', built the Kinahan Cartel as a drugs ring in Dublin in the 1990s and has expanded it into a global empire.
Daniel is accused of running the gang's day-to-day operations, which include drug smuggling, weapons possession and money laundering.
They are based in Dubai.
Sean Woolley, director of real estate firm Cloud Nine Spain, said Guadalmina Baja is extremely popular with overseas buyers and 'Spanish nobility'.
He told MailOnline that “Guadalmina has always been one of Marbella’s premier addresses, often considered on par with more famous neighborhoods such as the Golden Mile and Sierra Blanca.
Former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Aznar is known to have a house in Guadalmina Baja.
The Kinahans bought two more villas in San Pedro de Alcantara (Marbella), plus an apartment in Los Flamingos Golf in neighboring Benahavis.
Mystery surrounds the current status of the properties after Spanish authorities seized many of Kinahan's assets during Operation Shovel.
The two-year investigation in 2010 led to the arrest of Daniel and Christy Snr, but a lack of evidence, police corruption and judicial delays resulted in a terrible failure.
The Kinahans later demanded that everything that was seized be returned to them.
In 2022, Ireland's Criminal Assets Bureau also seized a number of properties belonging to the family.
Christy was later charged with passport fraud in 2020, but officials confirmed he would not be tried for money laundering or membership in a criminal gang.
