SPAK demands the return to jail of Jamarbër Malltez, in the investigation of the 'Partizani' affair.
In the Supreme Court today at 12:30 the request of SPAK, which opposes the house arrest measure for Malltez and the change of the measure to prison arrest, is being considered.
It was the judge Ilirjana Olldashi, who took the son-in-law of the former prime minister Sali Berisha out of the cell. Olldashi was suspected of having a conflict of interest since in 2015 he bought an apartment in the towers built in the former Partizani complex at a much cheaper price than the market, 65 thousand euros, estimated at 712 euros m2.
Meanwhile, today at 10:30 a.m. in the Supreme Court, the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who requests the cancellation of the initial measures "obligation to appear" and "prohibition of exiting the country", will be examined. Then, at 12:40, Malltez's request for the removal of the measure of arrest and imprisonment will be heard. All three requests will be examined by judge Sokol Binaj.
The day before, the Special Court adjourned to March 8 the hearing for lifting the house arrest measure for Berisha and her son-in-law Malltezi.
Berisha and Malltezi are under house arrest, after accusations of corruption in the 'Partizani' file. Jamarbër Malltezi is accused of having benefited from an income of 5.4 million euros from a construction business in an irregular manner thanks to the government decisions made by his father-in-law.
