The Vlora Municipal Council will meet on September 22 to discuss the resignation of the Mayor, Ermal Dredha, and the appointment of 1 of the 3 vice-mayors to head the institution.
The three vice presidents are: Elis Halili, Irena Toshkallari and Klea Lalo.
Most likely, the deputy mayor who will be appointed as the head of the Municipality of Vlora is Elis Halili.
We recall that Halili was appointed to the position by Ermal Dredha himself, before the latter signed his resignation.
Ermal Dredha resigned from his position as mayor of Vlora on September 10. Before resigning, he appointed Vice Mayor Elis Halili.
Halili comes from the private sector, employed in a company, and followed projects in the city of Vlora.
Meanwhile, Ermal Dredha, who had led Vlora since July 2023, argued in his resignation letter that handing over his duties was an act of reflection and responsibility, and that he was leaving with dignity to "pave the way for new energies and ideas."
