Many citizens gathered today for the second day in a row in Durrës' "Liria" Square to protest against the project to build a tourist resort in the protected area of Zvërnec, near the Narta Lagoon.
The protesters, among whom many families with young children stand out, held banners reading clear messages: "Narta Lagoon is our treasure", "We need to play. The park is not a luxury, but a necessity".
Children accompanied by their parents were among the most active in the protest, emphasizing the need to preserve green spaces and natural areas for future generations.
The protest is expected to continue in the coming days, while organizers say they will seek broader support from the citizens of Durrës.
