Lawyer Spartak Ngjela calls SPAK's request for the arrest of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha a normal legal action, after the refusal to implement the decision of GJKKO.
"There are rules of justice. You are not a king. Only the king is not caught by the law. You should have answered the requests of the investigation correctly because if you do not go to the investigation, they have the right to arrest, the law has given them" , said Njela for "Report TV".
Even the 'civil disobedience' that Berisha talks about, Njela calls a lost battle for the former prime minister.
"Berisha can neither do civil disobedience nor revolution because he has no supporters. You have not seen that there are no supporters. How can you protest in front of the parliament? Who is he who interferes against the will of parliament. Saliu's philosophy is that since I can't take the presidency of the state, I destroy the state" , said the lawyer.
According to him, if justice comes to the end of the investigation for Sali Berisha, the Democratic Party will take over the government.
"It will help DP a lot. If Berisha takes the blow to the end, I can't believe it because the leader of the SP and the leaders want to have Saliu there to always win, I'm talking politically. If SPAK will take it to the end, he will also be punished, even if he runs away from politics for 6 months. If he escapes from politics, the DP takes power for 6 months and overthrows the SP. The Socialist Party collapses immediately the moment he leaves the political arena. I say that his elimination brings DP to power for 3-4 months. People are very upset with SP but between two evils, they choose the lesser evil. At the moment when the big evil goes away, the small one becomes big" , said Ngjela.
Njjela is convinced that Berisha is wrong when he refuses to go to court because in this way he does not defend himself.
"In court, the defendant goes to defend himself. If it is not protected, it will be punished. What he does is not defense. They are degrading literature of the 16th century. They are of no value in legal defense to a charge. You have to destroy the evidence", concluded the lawyer.
On December 18, the Council for the Regulation of Mandates and Immunity will meet for SPAK's request for the arrest of Sali Berisha.
