Brunilda Laboviti, who won the election for president of the Order of Psychologists, but was not allowed into office by her predecessor Valbona, said that she was elected completely legitimately.
Laboviti told "News 24" that her predecessor, Valbona Treska, is behaving arrogantly, while emphasizing that she won the elections convincingly.
Lawyer Eda Grimci stated that the election of the president of the Order of Psychologists, Brunilda Laboviti, is legitimate and that there is no need for a quorum in this process, as a simple majority of votes is required.
She also said that if things don't change today and if the office isn't vacated, then there will be criminal charges tomorrow.
Brunilda Laboviti: I received twice the votes of the other candidate. The transfer of the position of head of the Order of Psychologists was to take place. I went to the office, called Ms. Valbona Treska and told her that I had come to the office. Ms. Treska behaves arrogantly, thinking that the Order of Psychologists is her home. The election process was orderly, members stood in line until 6:30 in the afternoon. Ms. Treska would not raise any claims if Elona Mustafaraj were elected president of the Order of Psychologists and she were the Secretary. She did not expect me to win convincingly. Treska is in illegality if she convenes the National Council.
Eda Grimci, lawyer: The election of Brunilda Laboviti is legitimate, she received twice as many votes as the other candidate. Laboviti received more than 60 percent of the votes. The election of the president of the Order of Psychologists is done by simple majority. There is no quorum. The elected president of the Order of Psychologists must enter office and we are still waiting for today. Everything that is happening is abuse of office and is a denial of the right to vote, this is a criminal offense. Tomorrow we will file a criminal report, if a solution is not found.
