Social networks and more specifically Tik-Tok has become a problem in the country where we are seeing increased cases of violence, bullying and threats.
One of the leaders of this social network, Jakub Olek, who is currently in Albania, has held a meeting with young people.
During the meeting in the presence of the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, Olek explained that the platform has over 40 thousand employees committed to security and that no form of violence, hate speech or bullying is tolerated on the platform.
"On the platform we do not want any form of violence, hate speech, bullying or violence against women. This is something that has no place on our platform and is removed from the platform when there is such content, or even when users create such content, they will be removed from the platform entirely. The recent events in Albania that have been very sad, of course we have looked at them very carefully and discussed in the team how we can improve the platform", said the representative of Tik-Tok.
While Minister Balla said that we are at the right time to increase vigilance regarding a number of phenomena that occur every day, related to online violence, blackmail inside or outside the school.
"I have expressed my concern about how in this network there is uncontrolled language, messages of a completely inappropriate language, then going on to promote various criminal activities, such as the use of narcotics. They are a concern to us, they are a concern to me as Home Secretary, but more than that, they are a concern to me as a father of a 14-year-old son, and that my responsibility is equally to all of you and to all your peers", underlined the Minister of the Interior.
