Benefited 28 million euros through fraud, the name and photo of the 61-year-old man arrested in Rinas is revealed

A 61-year-old man from South Korea, wanted internationally for fraud with large financial values, was arrested on Monday near Rinas airport.

Stephan Morgenstern, accused of creating pyramid schemes at the international level, was waiting near the airport for his wife who was coming from Dubai to Tirana.

He is accused of embezzling 28 million euros together with other people through pyramid schemes.

The 61-year-old man was arrested near "Mother Teresa" airport by "FAST Albania" forces.

Morgenstern, in cooperation with several other nationals, has built an international pyramid scheme, which was supposed to reward investors, for buying advertising packages and reselling them to new users.

During the period March 27, 2016 – November 7, 2020, these citizens defrauded 2,156 citizens, with a total monetary loss of 40,703,930,904 KRW (South Korean currency) or about 28 million Euros.
