After the lessons that the Covid-19 pandemic taught us, Europe seems to be preparing for emergencies that may come from various chemical, biological or nuclear attacks. Albania is also part of the plan of measures.
220 thousand euros has been financed by the European Union for equipping the National Emergency with special clothing and materials in case of intervention for any emergency that may be caused by chemical, biological or nuclear incidents.
Skender Brataj, the director of the National Emergency, says that health workers must be prepared for any situation. Brataj remembers March 8, 2020, when the first case of Covid-19 was identified in Albania.
The Head of Emergency reveals how scared and unprepared the emergency workers were who were to carry out the transport of patient zero. Representatives of the support project of the European Union conducted trainings with emergency workers of Tirana, regional hospitals, but also the fire service.
While in the following days, the National Emergency is expected to perform demonstrations of protective equipment for special chemical, biological and nuclear emergencies. / A2 CNN
