Journalist Klodiana Lala has given details about the appearance in SPAK of the mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu.
Lala said that Ndreu has been put under investigation for abuse of office by the Special Structure. The accusation is related to a road built in Lezha.
"SPAK has opened an investigation for Pjerin Ndreu and is investigating him for abuse of office. Ndreu himself told the journalists that he is under investigation, regarding the construction of a road in the city of Lezha. He said that the procedure he followed for the construction of the road there were problems. Ndreu appeared with a lawyer at SPAK, which means that he is under investigation.
If Ndreu will be taken as a defendant, the mandate as mayor of Lezha may also be called into question. He said he is open to the prosecutors and added that the accusation is politically motivated. Pjerin Ndreu expands the list of high officials investigated for corruption. Officials of the Municipality of Lezha, who dealt with the tender for the construction of the road, are also under investigation," said Lala.
