Elbasan Police takes drastic measures, 3 axes where traffic without chains is not allowed

The Elbasan District Traffic Police have announced that no vehicle will be allowed to circulate without chains or winter tires on several critical road segments.

The situation is more problematic in the hilly and mountainous areas of Elbasan, Librazhd, Prrenjas and Gramsh, where snowfall has significantly affected road traffic conditions.

According to the announcement, snow chains and winter tires are mandatory on the following axes: Elbasan–Gjinar, Elbasan–Qafë Thanë and Elbasan–Fushë Studen.

Authorities have taken these measures due to heavy snowfall in these areas and to increase road safety. Police appeal to drivers to respect these rules to avoid accidents and traffic disruptions.
