
The Traffic Police has taken stock of the week we left behind. According to the police announcement, 27,927 fines have been imposed across the country.
It should be noted that most of the fines, about 8,008 of them, have been imposed for speeding over the permitted rates, as well as for using a mobile phone while driving and for wrong overtaking.
During this week, as a result of increasing controls with smart vehicles, automatic radars, drones, dredges and finally telescopes, in order to identify mobile phone users, 126 driving licenses were suspended while driving, for speeding above the permitted rates. for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state and for driving in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, 35 drivers were arrested, of which 22 were for driving while intoxicated, 1 for driving under the influence of narcotics and 12 for driving without a driving license.
