Spahiu emphasized that one of Albania's weakest points in negotiations with its neighbors has always been its weak military power, so he added that a more powerful Albania militarily is a guarantee for Kosovo and stability in the region.
" The transformation of Albania into a military power is realized in a long-term plan. It is good that Albania has already included in its agenda the purchase of weapons, the increase of technology, the opening of military bases and the restarting of factories for the production of weapons, ammunition and explosives. This is a must. This is done by all the states in the region and Turkey, which is a military superpower. Of course, this will not be welcomed by our neighbors.
If we have had a weak point in negotiations as a country it is that our neighbors have not taken us seriously as they have never feared us.
We have always been weak in talks and agreements, as our neighbors have always been more powerful in their defense system, in their security and in armaments. That's why they never took us into consideration. The arming of Albania is a guarantee for Kosovo and an increase in stability in the Balkans , said Spahiu.
