The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has reacted to the passing of Fatos Nano. Teska expressed condolences to the family, Begaj said that Nano will be remembered as a liberal and reformist leader.

“It was with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Fatos Nano, the socialist and transitional leader of Albania in the 1990s and 2000s. Fatos Nano will be remembered as a liberal and reformist leader.

Condolences go to his family, as well as his many friends and well-wishers. Unforgettable!" said Begaj.
