Kenya's Chief Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Korir Sing'oei, has confused Prime Minister Edi Rama with President Bajram Begaj.
The Kenyan official published a photo on the 'X' platform, where he accompanies the photo with Prime Minister Edi Rama with an inscription, considering him the president of Albania, even by name and surname.
" I have the privilege of waiting for H.T. Bajram Begaj, President of Albania, before his meeting with President Ruto in Dubai ", he wrote in his post on "X".
The senior Kenyan official changed the post after numerous criticisms of the comments, including that of a local journalist telling Sing'oei that the person in the photo is the prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama. It is still not known if the Kenyan diplomat does not know who Rama is or if it was a slip.
The meeting of the respective heads of government took place before the start of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
