Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that the elections had their problems, but in the end, those who were predetermined by party leaders and not by criminal gangs were elected.
He even went further, underlining that even if Rama calls early elections 10 times, the Democratic Party would lose these elections just as many times.
"Those who wanted the gangs did not become MPs, but those who wanted Berisha and Rama. If the gang creates so many votes and has such influence that it secures 40 thousand votes, then it is a popular problem, we have a problem as a people. Then these are serious gangs. Now we are not crazy. I am saying that if it is true that the gangs secure so many votes, this is the problem of Elbasan then, in this specific case. I am not saying that the gangs did not have an influence, but the party leaders themselves were also part of it ," the lawyer told Report TV.
He doesn't see the problem solely in criminal gangs, which he doesn't believe have such a profound impact on the outcome.
" If Rama comes out today and says he will hold early elections, the first thing he will not want is the DP and Sali Berisha, because if they are held 10 more times, the DP will lose just as many times, because in that state they have become demoralized ," Spahiu explained.
