Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke about yesterday's protest held by the Democratic Party.
Molotov cocktails, homemade explosive devices, were used in the protest, while the demonstrators clashed with State Police officers, some of whom were injured.
Karamuço stated that the police are investigating to find out who brought the homemade bombs and where they came from. He said that it is suspected that the explosives were produced by a factory in Kosovo.
Karamuço adds that 'their manipulation and preparation constitute a criminal offense, as does their use'.
"The police are investigating who brought the homemade bombs. There is a factory in Kosovo that produces them, with several branches. There was also one in Albania, but it no longer exists. They are used for fireworks, but they are six times more powerful in mass than the ones used by children for parties, the so-called 'shashka'. The police are communicating with the authorities in Kosovo to understand how they come and how they are distributed. There are fingerprints there. Even their manipulation and preparation constitute a criminal offense, not just their use," Karamuço told "Abc News".
