Pedagogue and analyst, Ermal Hasimja, has presented two ways through which, according to him, the protest against the government can achieve its objective of removing Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Hasimje, the first scenario is related to a direct resignation of the head of government as a result of the pressure of the protests. While the second scenario is based on what he describes as Rama's gradual political consumption over time.
"Time works in favor of the protest. Every day that the protest lasts, Rilindja loses hundreds if not thousands of votes, because it puts Rilindja voters in the face of the corrosive pressure of the protest widely perceived as civic and non-partisan," Hasimja writes.
He argues that the prime minister has caused himself political damage through his reactions during this period, citing statements and positions that, according to him, show political weakness.
In his published analysis, Hasimja estimates that Rama's removal from the post of Prime Minister would not be sufficient to guarantee the change demanded by the protests. According to him, the process should be followed by the establishment of a caretaker government that would create equal conditions for elections.
"The resignation must be followed by a caretaker government that will prevent Rilindja from using the administration, organized crime, government clients, and the old electoral system."
In conclusion, Hasimja lists several steps that, according to him, should follow the resignation of the Prime Minister, which are:
-Resignation.
-Caretaker government.
-Change of the electoral law with priority to national proportional representation with pre-election coalitions.
-Prevention of involvement in the campaign of the administration, organized crime and government clients. Early elections after 1 year.
