Adriatik Lapaj, the leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, has analyzed the law on criminal amnesty that was voted with 110 votes in favor in the parliament.
Lapaj said that the MPs of the majority and the opposition came together to undo the two-year work of the new justice system. The lawyer said that this amnesty benefits all officials, not senior ones, who have been convicted by GJKKO for tender abuses.
According to him, this amnesty is aimed at encouraging subordinates in various institutions to sign the abusive demands of their bosses, promising them a reduction in punishment through parliament.
"The message it gives is this, these political leaders who make decisions in the parliament tell their subordinates that "it is not a problem to sign in tender commissions, it is not a problem to become meat for us, since we, your bosses, gather a day in the parliament and we cancel those court decisions and reduce their punishment". They say "take the risk, take charge and the prison, because we have it in our hands and we will undo it." This is the first message given with the amnesty. The second message that is given is a discouragement to the new institutions of justice, because at the moment that the institutions of justice, with their shortcomings, bring 5 people to justice and you meet as a parliament and reduce their sentence, you tell them to the prosecutors "don't get tired because we have it in our hands, we make the law as we want". And the third moment is mocking Albanian citizens' money. Those prosecutors of SPAK are paid like chicken and those judges of GJKKO from the poorest people of Europe, they are paid like chicken, and they waste an investment of millions of euros. They destroy the 2-year work of an entire structure", Lapaj said in the Review show.
