The New Democracy party of the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has proposed the name of Fredi Beleri for the MEP in the European Parliament.
The inclusion of Beler's name in the New Democracy is said to have been decided by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, after pressure within the party.
The question of his candidacy had turned into a real chaos, with constant changes, since at the end of last week it seemed to be predetermined that he would not be included on the ballot, while in the following days the proposals in favor of his inclusion in the lists, began to gain ground again within the party. This then forced the Prime Minister to enter his name in the party lists.
As " protothema.gr" wrote this morning , Beleri's cannibalization was decided on Saturday morning. This is after his son, Petros Beleris, held a meeting with State Minister Makis Voridis, government representative Pavlos Marinakis and Prime Minister's advisor Thanasis Nezis on Saturday. After this meeting, it was clear that the candidate would be Fredi Beleris or someone else from his family, as scenarios of his son's possible candidacy had circulated.
