Activists and citizens of Mirdita joined the residents of Theth today, in an act of solidarity with them, while for 1 week one of the tourist areas has been facing an action by the IKMT and the State Police to demolish around 100 buildings that are considered illegal.
Under the motto "Mirdita stands in solidarity with Dukagjin", activists consider their unity with the residents of Theth not only as a symbolic act, but also as a call for awareness.
"We are headed towards Theth, we are going to show solidarity with the residents there," said one of the activists from Mirdita.
Meanwhile, another considers what happened to the tourist village a massacre. "We will not wage war with the government, but rather look at the massacre that the communist regime has committed," he says.
Others say the government has become the aggressor.
"When the state turns into an aggressor, the people gather the canon and it is a reaction to protect themselves. Our Prime Minister has turned into an aggressor. The IKMT action began about a week ago with the demolition of an unauthorized building in the center of Theth, near the village church, and then continued with the demolition of about 100 buildings. Today, it is decided to demolish the last building, a 3-story building, which will be detonated with TNT.
