A group of citizens in Lezha came out today in protest against the pact for refugees.
They marched in the streets of the city and asked others to join them to prevent Shengjin from turning into a refugee camp.
The banners that caught the eye in this protest read "Don't return Lezha to Lampedusa", "I choose the guest and not Edi Rama", or "Don't bring me Africa, bring me Europe".
The former mayor of the municipality, Salvador Kaçaj, said in front of the audience that Rama brings the immigrants to Lezhë, because according to him he hates the north.
"Gjergj Kastrioti chose Lezha for the "covenant", while Rama chose Lezha to bring the immigrants, who don't even want to come to Albania," said Kaçaj.
But the protest was attacked by the socialist mayor Pjerin Ndreu, who accused Berisha of not being able to gather more than 10 people.
"Opposition political thugs raged for two days and two nights with SMS, social networks, etc., in Lezhe, it makes the protest so big with some 40-50 people shaking the foundations of Rama's power, because they tore the City Hall to pieces! Neither your blood relatives nor the party's people obey you," he writes.
