This Sunday has brought a large influx of vehicles towards the coast of Lezha and Velipoja.
Hundreds of citizens headed to the beaches, but on the way they faced heavy traffic and long waits, especially on the Laç-Lezha national axis.
Since 10:00 in the morning, kilometers of queues of vehicles have formed on this road segment. The most problematic point is at the Fushe Milot roundabout where vehicles are almost not moving at all. Under scorching temperatures of over 40°C, drivers and passengers wait for hours in traffic.
The situation has been further aggravated by the closure of the old Milot bridge, which authorities say is in danger of collapsing. This has forced drivers to use only one route to cross this key traffic junction towards the north and the Adriatic coast.
