Analyst Ergys Mërtiri has commented on the arrival of immigrants in Albania. He said that Albania is becoming a warehouse of Europe, behaving like an inferior country.
According to Mërtir, we offer ourselves to solve the problems that Europe has. The analyst adds that Prime Minister Edi Rama becomes a servant of big countries, in order for them to support his government.
"Albania's benefit is that it only exposes us in the eyes of the international community as a country where Europe's problems can be solved here. Albania itself is offered as a country where you can solve any problem. It is servility towards the EU, telling Europe that you just 'support me'. Albania volunteers to receive immigrants, when the immigrants do not want to come to our country. We are a nation of immigrants ourselves, we know what an immigrant means. We know very well that the immigrants who come here do not stay here because Albania is a country similar to those countries where the immigrants come from.
Rama treats Albania as a warehouse. What Europe takes out, we take and put in. Albania is behaving inferiorly, like a warehouse of Europe. The Prime Minister must be consulted in every case, in every law that is drafted, so that there is also consultation with the parliament. Rama doesn't seem to ask the question, he just tells us that "trust me". It seems that everything serves another leader, for the other's political interests, that is, in this case, Meloni. I think that Albania is not prepared for the reception of immigrants. Immigrants can work in Albania, but this exists as a possibility", said Mërtiri for "News 24".
