Journalist Enton Abilekaj, while speaking about today's Socialist Party Assembly and the new government cabinet, described the Rama 4 government as a structure built solely to serve the absolute authority of the prime minister.
According to Abilekaj, "commenting on the composition of the government is not worth it, because it is clear that we have a government that is increasingly lowering its profile, in order to increase Edi Rama's personal power." He stressed that Rama has not only subdued the government, but is now aiming for total control over the judiciary and legislative power, putting the parliament "in his pocket."
The journalist called the new executive a “parrot government,” filled with figures without a political profile, who are known more as Rama’s secretaries than as individuals with an independent stance. According to him, the Socialist Party today has no critical voice, neither in the government nor in the parliamentary group: “No figure dares to speak differently from Edi Rama, to think with his own mind and not like him.”
Abilekaj brought concrete examples of Rama's destruction of local government, mentioning the Municipality of Tirana, where according to him, the prime minister has appointed candidates appointed by himself, without real legitimacy, as well as similar cases in Durrës and Vlora, where the mayors of the municipalities have been replaced by loyal people and his personal secretaries.
"Rama is destroying every institution, every power and every political figure who has an independent opinion. He has built a system where everyone is just his spokesperson, a parrot structure that blindly obeys him," declared Abilekaj, invited to the show "Çim Peka Live" on Syri TV.
He warned that this authoritarian model will continue, as the country moves towards Rama's total control over all powers.
