The Legal Representative of the Democratic Party, Rezart Kthupi, commented on Rama's resolution on the anti-corruption fight, where he requested the cooperation of the opposition in the parliament today.
According to him, the resolution seeks to give parliament a supervisory role over independent justice institutions.
"There is a working group in the parliament that was tasked with making changes to the justice reform package. Their amendments were challenged by OPDAT and Euralius. It drafted a new amendment in 2023 which received another challenge from the international factor. This resolution can to be done a year ago, but today we are in the conditions where only one person is left without going to SPAK, Rama, everyone has gone.
At the moment when the prime minister is attacked in person, the time problem coincides with some facts, which make one think that the prime minister is looking for a new electoral cause. All these things make you think that the prime minister is not satisfied with the work of SPAK. The resolution asks to give the parliament a supervisory role towards independent law-enforcement institutions. I see the concrete danger that at some point in time some sticks will be put under the wheels of SPAK", said Kthupi for "Report TV".
