The Legal Representative of the Democratic Party, Rezart Kthupi said that the Resolution proposed by the Socialist Party does not solve the problems of justice.
He stated that the establishment of a commission to control SPAK is unnecessary and a way of controlling the policy of this institution. Kthupi added that these proposals come from a person who rejects interpellations when called to testify, which according to him is Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"All international reports say that the justice system in the way it was set up is good, its legal basis is good, but there is a lack of human resources, infrastructure and competences. These three produce difficulties and extended deadlines.
Today, what happens is the demand that is made is not to build or fill these deficiencies of the justice system, but to put it under control through obtaining information on the speed. Because we all know that the justice system has problems. These are not resolved by a supervisory committee. That this is the problem.
The resolution proposed by the prime minister calls for the establishment of a special commission that will oversee the government and independent institutions. And this is proposed by the person who refuses to go to the called interpellations. The establishment of a Commission to supervise SPAK is unnecessary. It is a new way of control", said Kthupi for "Euronews Albania".
