The hearth of the fire is reactivated in the vicinity of the Shishtavec mountain, in the place called "Guri Măngjesit".
According to the local authorities, the fire broke out this afternoon in the area called "Chuka" by the residents.
It was the intervention of the firefighters that made it possible to extinguish the first hearth on Saturday evening, with the help of the residents, but the hearth was activated again today, after a strong wind.
The police forces, the fire service, the mayor of Shishtavec village, the mayor of Shishtavec administrative unit and the director of the school went to the scene with some residents, who are working in joint action to extinguish the flames.
Police also launched investigations into whether the fire was intentional or accidental.
In the early hours of today, a fire was also reported at the urban waste collection site in Kukës, as smoke covered the area and two fire engines were activated to put it out in Myc-Mamëz.
The smog engulfed the villages and part of the city that were in the vicinity of the collection point. This waste site has been engulfed in fire several times within a few months, causing massive pollution.
