The fire at the Bushati landfill has reactivated again, even though rainfall in the area was expected to help extinguish the flames.
The situation seemed temporarily under control, but the flames returned last evening.
"It seemed like the fire had been extinguished, but it wasn't, as it was reactivated last night. Firefighters and heavy equipment are continuing to work to isolate the flames," the journalist reported for "TCH".
Currently, firefighters are operating on the ground, using water to extinguish the fire, while heavy vehicles are dumping soil to isolate active fires.
The fire at this waste disposal site has been burning since April 19 and continues to remain problematic, despite efforts to bring it under control.
