This connection between Ergys Agas and Elvis Doçi seems to be a confirmation of the accusations that former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has made against Prime Minister Rama and the connections with the Troplini clan in Durrës, led by Xhevdet Troplini, known as Poja.
Arben Ahmetaj was the one who publicly introduced Ergys Agas as the shadowy figure behind Edi Rama, in the role of organized crime coordinator and as an intermediary between criminal gangs and the prime minister.
"Is Rama connected to these criminal groups? He is not only connected, but I will give you the name of the coordinator, Ergys Agasi. He is a guy who lives in Durrës, near the Durrës clan. Now he has become, on Rama's behalf, the coordinator of all the groups. Agasi acts as the coordinator and then he uses them for the elections. Where does Rama belong? He also belongs to his office, in the meeting office that he has at the government headquarters. I have not participated because I have never accepted to be involved. I have seen almost all of them. Characters from Dibra, Durrës, Elbasan… Yes. Mafia bosses" – Ahmetaj told RAI3.
