"Never forget" is the mega-operation that unraveled 19 criminal events and led to the arrest of 12 people, 4 wanted who are accused of 6 murders, 5 explosions with tritol, violent robbery and 3 attempted murders. The State Police solved these crimes thanks to the penitent, Artan Tafani, a 39-year-old member of Laert Haxhiu's group, an opponent of Aldo Bares.

However, Imeraj stated that self-declaration cannot be taken as evidence, but evidence must be gathered based on testimony.
"Only testimony cannot be taken as evidence. They must have relied on some other evidence. Reasonable suspicion based on evidence. This is analyzed step by step in view of what the penitent tells. I don't believe that the prosecutor's office of Elbasan has not implemented such an element", continued the former chief prosecutor.
With regard to the 19 criminal events uncovered after the testimony of Laert Haxhiu's soldier, she said that the role that the penitent had in these criminal events should be seen. If he was directly involved in this event, it makes it easier for law enforcement agencies to uncover them.

Imeraj also spoke about the safety of a penitent, stressing that there are cases that in order to protect him, he is transferred abroad and his identity is changed.
"The security of protection for a penitent goes up to the degree of their displacement outside the Republic of Albania, or the change of name, identity. The Albanian state decides the place where the penitent is taken based on its own agreements with the states.
