On Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, several thousand citizens are protesting against the political class in the country, while calling on Edi Rama to resign as Prime Minister. This is the 20th day of the civic protest, while the cry that has become its symbol is “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison”.
Various citizens are addressing the protesters with messages. In this context, a citizen, taking the microphone, directly accused the family of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha of the seizure of properties in Divjaka, where she claims her family's lands were also located.
She also said that she had a brother who was politically persecuted by the communist regime, adding that the persecuted have not benefited from anything during the years of democracy.
"I come from Italy, from Emiglia Romana, from Piacenza. I have been suing for 35 years for my properties. I couldn't get them, because Argita Berisha and the Berisha family took Divjaka.
"We are not compensated. They have 63 hectares. Where will the youth behind live? My brother has spent 10 years in prison as an enemy of the people. When the end comes, we, the persecuted, will not gain anything. Long live the wonderful people," she said.
