
Eight boats were blocked by the border police during the last action for the security of the coastline, which in two cases has documented dangerous maneuvers for the lives of vacationers.
Shortly before the start of the tourist season, the border police increased the intensive controls on the vessels in the coastal areas from Saranda to Shengjin to increase the maritime safety and the enforcement of the navigation rules by the drivers of the vessels.
Recently, along the coastline from Saranda to Shengjin, the Border Police has blocked 8 vessels, mainly recreational vessels.
Specifically, in the "Rock of Kavaja" area and in Dhërmi, 2 "Jet Ski" recreational boats were blocked, the drivers of which violated the safety of vacationers because they performed dangerous maneuvers, outside the perimeter defined for these vehicles.
While 6 other vehicles, 3 "Jet Skis", 2 dinghies and 1 Skaf, were blocked after they were found sailing in violation of the law and navigation rules.
Their leaders are punished with administrative measures between 10 thousand and 100 thousand new lek.
