Flu season is heading towards its peak. Every day, dozens of patients are arriving at the doors of family doctors or infectious disease specialists seeking help after the symptoms of viral conditions have worsened.
White shirts refer to the fact that flu symptoms are numerous, but it has been seen that high temperatures that do not drop are the most pronounced.
Infectious disease specialist Alma Hoxhaj told "Euronews Albania" that this year's flu has symptoms such as cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing and muscle pain. She added that the flu can also manifest with diarrhea and vomiting.
Doctors appeal not to underestimate a flu-like condition, as we can have complications ranging from mild to more severe ones.
Some groups are particularly at risk for developing severe forms, so contact with a doctor should be made from the beginning.
Following your doctor's advice, bed rest, diet, and flu vaccination are the best ways to prevent not only hospitalizations but also flu fatalities.
