The risk of digital fraud is increasing, especially through messages with suspicious links. Cybersecurity expert Jetmir Rajta warns citizens to be careful and not open links that come to them as they are SMS messages that aim to steal personal data and money in accounts.
Warnings to be careful with messages asking recipients for personal information have not had the desired effect. Recently, there has been an increase in reports of money laundering through these messages received by phone or email.
When asked to fill out forms, their personal data was taken. But there are also cases where they are asked to pay traffic fines, other obligations, or even mail they did not order, even when they are waiting.
Cybersecurity expert at the National Cybersecurity Authority, Jetmir Rajta, says that it is very important for people to be careful and not open links that come to them from messages sent by unknown persons.
"Recently there has been an increase in digital fraud, where the main goal is the theft of personal data and money.
"The protection of personal data should be considered sacred for every person, especially in this period when cybercrime is on the rise ," he told "Ora News."
