The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has started investigations regarding the denunciation of Princ Leka, who claims to have been raped by his former father-in-law, Gjergj Zaharia, and Elia Zaharia.
The violent fight became public yesterday, while the videos showing the violence circulated in the media. It was precisely Leka Zogu who filed a complaint with the police two days ago, claiming that she had been raped with hard objects and kicked by her ex-father-in-law, a conflict that later involved Elia Zaharia, with whom she is in a legal process and has a 3-year-old daughter.
Also, the prosecution clarifies that it has started the verification for the publication of the video that went around the network.
" The Prosecutor's Office in Tirana starts investigations for the Criminal Offense 'Domestic Violence' after the denunciation of the citizen LZ, verifications for the publication of the video, material evidence. In the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana on 06.03.2024, at 15.00 was referred by the Police Station No. 1 the incriminating material of the citizen LZ for the criminal offense "Domestic violence", provided by article 130/ai of the Criminal Code.
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana registered the criminal report no. 2893 for the Criminal Offense provided by Article 130/4 of the Criminal Code.
The material was drawn and assigned to the relevant prosecutor.
In the meantime, regarding the data published in the media, we inform you that, from the side of the Prosecution, the verifications have also started in relation to the publication of a video, material evidence. From the first verifications, it turned out that the incriminating material was deposited in the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, as the video was published in various media and it turns out that the envelope where the evidence was administered was not opened. In relation to the case in question, the Police Supervision Agency has been tasked with carrying out the relevant investigative actions. "- announced the prosecution.
