Psychologist Irsa Ruçi spoke about the violence in the Albanian royal family and the publication of the video by Prince Leka.
According to Ruçi, the event was unnecessary and that the video should not have been published, adding that Elia Zaharia's psychological condition is serious. Regarding the public impact, she said that Albania needs the image of a royal family.
Immediately after the publication of the video, Ruçi reacted through social networks, where he called Prince Leka as "The Prince of Peas".
"You cannot take the mother of your child to the police. Elias' psychological condition is serious. She was a woman who loved her family and I felt sorry that the child will one day see the footage. Albania needs the image of a royal family. The truth is that it must have a positive image, to be a complete figure of our history. That image was desecrated. The prince in the family sphere and what he represents in public. In private life it is up to that family to choose, in the other sphere the video should not have been published.
It would be absurd and unnecessary to be in public attention in this form, playing the role of the victim. You can't play the victim.
I saw a battered, disillusioned woman clinging to memories of family," she told ABC News.
