New details have been revealed regarding the injury of two 16-year-olds in Kamëz. The serious incident occurred after a fight between students from the "Ibrahim Rugova" high school and the vocational high school.
The fight between the youths continued outside the school premises and resulted in the injury of two 16-year-olds. Sources from the Trauma Hospital inform "Euronews Albania" that one of the injured is in serious condition and that the cutting tool has penetrated the lung.
"One of the two minors is in serious health condition, he has a wound inflicted on his chest. The cutting tool has penetrated his lungs. He is in intensive monitoring. While the other minor is out of danger for his life. The situation is alarming especially for the parents of one of the children," the journalist said.
She added that 5 minors aged 15-17 were involved in the conflict. The two high schools are located 150 meters apart. The conflict occurred at the school and continued on the alley connecting the two high schools.
"The students are shocked, at first they didn't know what happened during the long break. But then they heard the students and girls crying that someone was fighting and they had cold weapons. The police reacted immediately.
"Parents have left work, fearing that their children were part of the conflict. Many of them have taken their children from school, interrupting classes for the day. They are demanding increased security measures and security officers inside and outside schools ," she added.
