After the famous "Crystal" that sold diplomas inside and outside the country, another similar scheme has been discovered. But this time it is the Italian authorities who have destroyed a group that fake diplomas and certificates, part of which is the head of an educational institution in our country.
Among those arrested is the owner of the Wisdom University College based in Tirana and Savino Cianci and the administrator Leonardo Catalano. The Italian media write that those interested in entering the administration paid from 8 thousand euros to obtain a qualification to enter public competitions as well as to create working relationships, especially in the education sector.
Likewise, two of the arrested are suspected of having bribed an Albanian government official to "guarantee the activation and favorable conclusion of the institution's accreditation procedure". This is another aspect that came out of the investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Trani, which concluded with the execution of 9 security measures by the Guardia di Finanza. According to the Italian media, the Cianci-Catalano couple gave him a Louis Vuitton bag worth 1200 euros the president of the Accreditation Council of the Agency for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, for the accreditation of Wisdom University.
Among other things, those arrested have issued false certificates and false equivalent certificates from Italian universities, in particular from the Sapienza University of Rome.
The large illegal income obtained, the object of today's seizure order, is calculated in the amount of 10 million euros.
